Promoter trott to be honoured
Wonder and James Brown will be honoured on September 26.
Hundreds will pay tribute to her 50 years in the local entertainment industry at a gala event at Hamilton's Princess Hotel.
Dubbed "Let's Celebrate'', it is being laid on by the Progressive Labour Party's Warwick branch.
It will feature Gene Steede's "Nightlife''.
Mrs. Trott is well known as the owner and operator of Richardson's Restaurant on North Shore Road, Pembroke.
In the '50s and '60s she staged shows featuring such stars as Jackie Wilson, Muhammad Ali, Frankie Diamond, Stevie Wonder, Dee Dee Jackson, The Cadillacs, James Brown, and Edna McGriff.
The walls of her restaurant are lined with photos of the celebrities she brought to Bermuda.
Last New Year's Eve she and her husband, Kenneth, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
