Challenger system gets green light

subsidiary Intelect, Inc. has completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for its new S4 air traffic control system to be installed at Aruba's international airport.

Aruba's government is undertaking an extensive upgrade of its Princess Beatrix Airport.

"This acceptance validates a record-setting production schedule designed to test new ISO9000-based procedures in the S4 manufacturing process,'' Challenger said.

Intelect, headquartered in Texas and with operations in England, provides multi-media communication systems.

Earlier this week, Challenger announced that Intelect was awarded an $850,000 contract to supply air defence systems to the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) replacing and improving HAF control centres in Parnis and Zeros, Greece.

Challenger acquired Intelect earlier this year and completed the sale of subsidiary Savage Corp. on October 31.
