and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

Albert E. Allen, of Parson's Road, pleaded not guilty to the two charges in Magistrates' Court. They allegedly occurred on April 9 in Pembroke.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis released Allen on $1,000 bail with the condition that he have no contact with Brendan Usher -- the alleged victim in the case. Allen was ordered to return to court on August 29.

A 34-year-old Devonshire man this week denied breaching bail conditions and entering a residence after receiving a registered letter forbidding him to do so.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis ordered Ralph Simons, of Loyal Hill, to return to court on May 30 for trial.

He also told him to steer clear of Number 33, Cottage Hill Road, Hamilton Parish, where the offences were allegedly committed.

A 31-year-old cruiseship visitor was yesterday fined $150 in Magistrates' Court after pleading guilty to possession of two cannabis cigarettes.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis was told US visitor Robin Kennedy was searched Tuesday morning by Customs Officers as she disembarked from the Royal Majesty in St. George.

Upon searching her officers discovered the two joints in a package of Marlboro cigarettes. She told the officers they were for her own personal use.

Albert T. Caisey was this week fined $100 after he admitted possessing cannabis.

Magistrates' Court heard that Police narcotics officers went to the stables at Government House after receiving certain information on February 28.

There they found Caisey, 29, and informed him that they wished to search him.

He was taken to Hamilton Police Station and then accompanied to his home at Peat Lane, Pembroke.

There they found a brown paper twist containing plant material tucked inside a pair of green soccer socks. Caisey was arrested and the plant material was analysed and found to be 0.44 grams of cannabis.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Caisey had been "extremely cooperative'' with Police during their inquiries and Senior Magistrate Will Francis fined him $100.
