beaten after being pulled from her bike earlier this month has withdrawn part of her complaint.
The Pembroke woman has withdrawn the fact that she was seriously sexually assaulted in a car park near to the junction of Princess and Ewing Streets in Pembroke in the early hours of March 4.
A summary of the details was released to the media later that day, sending shockwaves of concern across the Island.
However, after a thorough investigation, and extensive enquiries, the woman has recanted her story, and withdrawn the sex assault claim.
Detectives will continue the investigation into the physical assault claim, which resulted in the woman needing treatment at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
