Details on the driver's condition and the accident, which happened around 8.45 a.m. on Marsh Folly Road in Pembroke, remained sketchy at news time.

Both Public Transportation Board director Herman Basden and Cablevision general manager Don Greiner said they could not comment on the accident because they were waiting for details from Police.

But the driver of the van was not believed to be seriously injured despite having to go to hospital and the bus driver escaped without injury.

The bus was also impounded for checks.

Police spokesman Sgt. Chris Wilcox said he was unable to provide facts about the accident because information had not yet been entered into Police' computer system.
