Caribbean island of St. Lucia, it was revealed yesterday.

A spokesman for the St. Lucia Immigration Department confirmed last night Tahir Choudry, 27, and Kasif Ahmad had been taken into custody.

The two men -- who were arrested in Bermuda with two other Pakistani men on suspicion of having terrorist connections and later released -- left Bermuda on Tuesday.

They were flying to London, supposedly en route to Karachi in Pakistan -- but they are believed to have arrived in St. Lucia yesterday morning.

A St. Lucia Immigration Department spokesman said he was aware that the men had had a brush with the law in Bermuda.

He said: "I can't comment on why they were taken into custody -- but we are going to try and get them out of St. Lucia as soon as possible.'' The row began in early August. The four men, who arrived in Bermuda on July 5, claim they were locked up, strip-searched and accused of being terrorists by Bermuda Police and Immigration officials acting on information from UK and US authorities.

The four men -- two of whom, Mohammed Samma, 32, and Asiz Maan, 21, left Bermuda last week for Pakistan via London -- said they were victims of US immigration officers "out to get them.'' They were taken into custody for three days in Bermuda after their Island visas ran out and later released on Police bail.
