Trott was followed by Juliette Oatley on 42 with Ravi Pachai coming in third on 43.

Because of the adverse conditions play in the tournament section at Port Royal was limited to nine holes. In group two there was a three-way tie on 43 between Oliver Pitcher, Chris Smith and Neil Fenton with Pitcher winning on retrogression.

Chris Tully led the way in group three, firing 42 to defeat Dwayne Simons by one shot with Matthew Hocking in third place on 46.

The group four players also found the conditions tough with Quinton Sherlock being the only player to break 40 as he fired a respectable 39 to win by three shots over David James and four ahead of third-placed Shaun Wade.

In the girls section Jennifer Spurling led the way with a 52 followed by Lindsey Simons on 59 and Bonnie Liebowitch on 62.
