Fund, has begun a campaign to raise money for young victims of war.

At a press conference yesterday, spokesman Mr. Gene Steede and Child Aid committee member Mr. Glenn Fubler announced special events to kick off the fund-raising efforts for children in Somalia and what was Yugoslavia.

The climax of the campaign will be a gathering of Child Aid members and local dignitaries on the steps of Hamilton City Hall on December 9.

A moment of silence will be observed at 1 p.m. "to reflect on the circumstances of these children''.

Organisers are hoping each man, woman and child in Bermuda will donate at least one dollar. Donations can be made at any of the banks, or at collection boxes located at supermarkets and pharmacies throughout the Island.

In cooperation with Bermuda Broadcasting Company, the group will air highlights of this summer's UNICEF-sponsored Danny Kaye International Children's Awards on November 19. The show will feature Bermuda's representatives, Zalika Millet, Khalilah Smith and Mark Lomas.
