After being on the job for three years, Ms Thomas will spend the next month in a consultancy capacity at the Chamber, before leaving to be married in England.

Mrs. Jacobs is the wife of Larry Jacobs, the Transportation Ministry's leader of the Year 2000 Traffic Planning Team. Mr. Jacobs has recently left a post as secretary to the Corporation of St. George's.

Both husband and wife have a background in transportation. Mrs. Jacobs last worked for nearly ten years with the Bermuda Government as a consultant and administrator to the Minister of Transport.

Her history includes a solid background in public administration, management and transportation, over a total of 23 years. She previously served as director of transportation programmes for the Metropolitan Transit Authority in Houston, Texas, where she met her Bermudian husband.
