Broadcasting Commission ruled some of its contents were illegal.

An edited version might be aired at a later date, Bermuda Broadcasting Company television programme director Ms Jannell Ford told The Royal Gazette .

"AIDS: What You Haven't Been Told,'' is a planned presentation of Valiant Ministries of Bermuda and The Christian Coalition, two groups that are fighting the Hon. John Stubbs' private member's bill to legalise gay sex.

Ms Ford said Bermuda Broadcasting approached the Broadcast Commissioners for advice after receiving complaints about the programme, including ones from members of the Bermuda Human Rights Alliance.

Mrs. Louise Jackson, chairman of the Broadcast Commissioners, said the programme was found to violate sections of the Broadcasting Commissioners Act 1953.

Those sections deal with any programme which "offends against good taste or decency,'' or is likely to incite crime or lead to disorder, or makes offensive reference to any living person.

A representative of the Christian Coalition was to meet with the Broadcast Commissioners today to determine whether the programme could be edited to the satisfaction of both parties.

A promotional flyer for the programme, which was to have aired on ZBM at 9 p.m. last night, said it was a scientific documentary which "includes confidential information that has not been told,'' about AIDS.
