to experience Bermuda's conditions first hand.

Visiting at the invitation of the Department of Tourism, the reporters and their spouses will also learn about the Island's architecture.

Tourism spokesman Charles Webbe said the visitors will be given an overview of the "Weather Get Away'' programme tonight at a welcoming cocktail to be held at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute, followed by a private tour of the recently-opened facility.

Also attending will be 14 Bermudian representatives, including Tourism director Gary Phillips and ZBM weather broadcaster Suzanne Holshouser.

The group will be addressed by guest speakers, Bermuda Weather Service manager Roger Williams and president of the Institute of Bermuda Architects Colin Campbell, during a breakfast at the Princess Hotel tomorrow.

Afterward, there will be an open discussion on matters like Bermuda weather patterns and the advantages of the Island's distinctive architecture.

The group will also be able to see this for themselves and form their own opinions aboard a luncheon cruise in the afternoon.

"The weather is liable to be iffy this weekend, but hopefully we will have the chance to show off what we are all too used to,'' Mr. Webbe added.
