The son of the former Director of Tourism, W.J. (Jimmy) Williams, Mr. Williams brings a wealth of experience to the Tucker's Town cottage colony.

In the 1950s he attended Warwick Academy and then received a General Certificate of Education from the University of London. Between 1962 and 1964 Mr. Williams attended Westminister Technical College Hotel School, where he studied hotel management.

Most recently, in 1993, he completed exams and was awarded the designation of Certified Hotel Administrator by the American Hotel and Motel Association.

In the early 1980s, he was responsible for three Trust House Forte resorts on the Island -- the Bermudiana, Harmony Hall and Belmont Hotel -- as well as six sister establishments in the US.

He has also served the Forte chain in Hong Kong, Guyana, and the Bahamas. In the early 1990s, he served as pesident of the Caribbean Hotel Association.

Between 1994 and 1997, Mr. Williams was employed as the senior vice president and chief operating officer of Sammons Travel and Resorts, which operates all-inclusive properties in Cancun and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Guanacaste, Costa Rica; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and in St.

Kitts.
