Local manager Mr. Philip Troake said flights would operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from April to the end of October.

BA introduced its four weekly flights last summer. But they only operated from June to September.

Yesterday Mr. Troake said: "We are very pleased with the performance of the route this past summer.

"October was also a strong month. Therefore, consistent with our policy of steady growth for the Bermuda route we shall extend the four weekly services for the whole of next summer.''
