coveted 1994 Highland Fidelity scholarship and is to pursue an insurance qualification in Britain next year.

Ms Stevens won the scholarship by achieving outstanding examination results in the Bermuda Insurance Diploma (BID) programme offered by the Bermuda Insurance Institute.

The open ended further education award covers air fares, books, tuition fees and accommodation costs and is granted to BID graduates, preferably Bermudians, who are employed by local insurance companies and who wish to pursue an associateship of Britain's Chartered Insurance Institute.

Ms Stevens hopes to begin her studies in the UK in May 1995.
