Bank's report wins award
about 2,000 entries for their 1993 annual report design, according to a release this week from the bank.
"The Bank of Butterfield is proud to announce that it was awarded the North American Publishing Co.'s Pewter Award,'' according to the release.
The 1994 Gold Ink Awards include gold, silver, bronze and pewter, and are awarded based on design, craftsmanship and production.
The Bank of Butterfield's product was the only entry outside the US to place in the annual report category. The Seagram Co., Neiman Marcus and IDEC Pharmaceuticals garnered gold, silver and bronze, respectively.
"We are indeed proud of this accomplishment,'' said Stephen W. Kempe, Bank of Butterfield executive vice president.
"The 1993 annual report was designed 100 percent in-house by graphic staff in our marketing department. This award certainly speaks highly of our staff's expertise, as well as the capabilities of local printers,'' he added.
The 1993 report was printed in Bermuda by Island Press. The National Gold Ink Awards are sponsored by publishing and printing executive and Printing Impressions.
