Mr. Kline has been appointed as chief executive officer of US-based Homeowners Direct Corporation.

Mr. Kline was the former president and co-founder of Bermuda-based catastrophe reinsurer CAT Ltd. He also co-founded Hamilton Services, an analytical firm based in Bermuda.

CAT Ltd. was bought by ACE Ltd. last year. Homeowners Direct, is headquartered in Boston and provides homowners insurance coverage.
