Disabled people to be honoured on Monday
On Monday, Bermuda will mark the observance of the UN International Day of Disabled Persons, which aims to promote better understanding of disability and other issues about the disabled.
The theme for this year's event is: Decent Work For Persons With Disabilities.
The annual observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons, aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilise support for the dignity, rights and well being of persons with disabilities.
Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs Wayne Perinchief will mark the UN International Day of Disabled Persons at the Washington Mall, Lower Level at 12 noon.
The National Office For Seniors And The Physically Challenged will have a booth on display at 10 a.m.
All members of the public are welcome to visit the booth and learn how persons with disabilities are making a positive contribution to society.
