BELCO Holdings lit up a quiet day's trading on the Bermuda Stock Exchange Index (BSX) yesterday.

Their share value rose $1.45 (7.2 percent) up to $21.50, with 1,000 shares being traded.

The only other company to experience a change in share price was Butterfield Bank, whose shares dwindled five cents (0.2 percent) to close at $21.10, as 14,842 shares changed hands.

Overall 16,842 shares were traded, representing a turnover of $341,258.30, as the Index finished on 5,275.66, a change of 18.67 points (0.36 percent).

The BSX Insurance Index closed up 0.85 percent at 1,200.33.
