Lister 'stable' after accident

Former Cabinet Minister Terry Lister was being treated in hospital last night after reportedly suffering an accident while dog-walking on the Railway Trail.According to VSB;radio news, Mr. Lister suffered a head injury in the incident on Sunday evening in Somerset.Progressive Labour Party Party Chief Whip Ottiwell Simmons declined to go into details, but told ;The Royal Gazette;"I can confirm that Terry did have an accident, and he's in hospital. I've spoken to him and he's quite comfortable.;Mr. Simmons said he anticipated the family of Mr. Lister, the MP for Sandys South, would make a statement today.;A Police spokesman said the service was notified of the incident around 9.20 p.m Sunday. He described it as "an unfortunate accident, and nothing untoward." While unable to provide further details on the circumstances, he confirmed it was not being treated as suspicious.A hospital spokesperson said Mr. Lister was being treated on a ward last night, and was in a stable condition.
