Man in ICU after assault

A 28-year-old man was last night fighting for his life after being stabbed in the back and stomach.
Police were alerted to an assault at a house in Devon Spring Road, Devonshire at 4 p.m. yesterday. A Police spokesman said it appeared the victim had been stabbed and had sustained potentially serious back and abdominal injuries. He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
By 11 p.m. last night the man was out of Accident and Emergency and was being monitored in the Intensive Care Unit. A hospital spokesman said: "At the moment he is stable but his condition is serious."
