Former PLP cabinet members silent
Ousted members of the cabinet have gone to ground.
The former Attorney General Philip Perinchief, former Minister of Cultural Affairs Wayne Perinchief, former Minister of Environment Neletha Butterfield and former Minister of Health Michael Scott did not return calls from The Royal Gazette on Friday or yesterday.
The four were all Government Ministers until Premier Ewart Brown did a reshuffle of his cabinet last week.
A source in the Progressive Labour Party said they would be remaining silent on losing their positions.
Premier Dr. Ewart Brown announced his new cabinet on Thursday, two days after leading his party to victory and winning 22 of Bermuda's 36 seats. At a news conference he said the departures were all amicable.
He announced that Nelson Bascome would be the new Health Minister; Elvin James the new Minister of Environment and Sports; Terry Lister would become the first Minister of Energy, Telecommunications and e-Commerce and Kim Wilson would be the new Attorney General.
