Sex disease crime alleged

A Sandys man is facing an indictable sex assault charge after allegedly failing to disclose to a partner that he has a sexually transmitted disease.
The 31-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared in Magistrates' Court and was charged with knowing that he had a sexual disease, HIV, sexually assaulting a woman. The offence is alleged to have occurred at some time or times between October 1 to February 20.
He did not have to enter a plea as the matter must be heard in Supreme Court.
The defendant was remanded into custody until he appears for mention March 12.
