A youth who has just turned 17 has been brought to court charged with sexually assaulting and robbing a female in Pembroke during the summer.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is jointly accused of the assault and robbery on July 14 with another suspect who did not appear at Magistrates Court.

A warrant has be issued for the arrest of the second suspect.

The 17-year-old from Paget entered pleas of not guilty to the charge of sexual assault and of robbing $100 from the victim.

He was represented in court by lawyer Elizabeth Christopher and was released on bail of $2,000 to appear at Plea Court on November 24.
