Man denies destroying Government property

A Southampton man yesterday denied using offensive words in public, violently resisting arrest and destroying Government property.

LuVaughn Harris, 21, of Middle Road, pleaded not guilty in Magistrates' Court to using offensive words saying, "F**k you. Get off me. You think you're f*****g bad". He also denied violently resisting arrest and willfully and unlawfully destroying a windshield wiper on a Police car, valued at $60, property of the Bermuda Government.

The defendant was remanded into custody until his trial, which is due to take place this morning.
