Man charged with unlawful wounding

A Pembroke man was charged with unlawful wounding and possession of a machete yesterday in Magistrates' Court.
Rasha Cooper, 24 of Middle Town Drive, was charged with unlawfully wounding Shawn Nusum with intent to do bodily harm and having in his possession in a public place a bladed article namely a machete on November 15 in St. George's.
Because the matter will be heard in Supreme Court, Cooper wasn't required to plead.
He was remanded into custody for two weeks.
