The following violent deaths have taken place over the past two years:

Ruth Binns — September 24, 2007. Ms Binns, also known as Ruth Dill, was found dead in her Southampton apartment at the age of 25. Police have yet to release the cause of her death.

Ms Binns' boyfriend Arnold Astwood has since been charged with murder in her death.

Shaki Crockwell — August 24, 2007. The 25-year-old was shot in the back of the head on the Railway Trail in Devonshire by Loyal Hill.

Marcus Gibbings — October 26, 2006. Mr. Gibbings, 32, was found stabbed to death in his Devonshire apartment.

Edward Dill — October 16, 2006. The 35-year-old was stabbed to death in the house he shared with girlfriend Adrina Smith.

Smith has been charged with the murder and her trial will take place in January.

Jason Lightbourne — July 23, 2006. Shot and killed while behind the wheel of a car on Ord. Road in Paget. He was 18 years old.

Also still unsolved are the killings of:

Shaundae Jones — April 27, 2003. The 20-year-old shot in the chest and killed in Dockyard.

Rebecca Middleton — July 2, 1996. The 17-year-old tourist was raped and stabbed in her neck, chest and abdomen in Ferry Reach.
