Power went down for several hours at the Hamilton offices of the Meyer Group of Companies yesterday, affecting all telephone and e-mail communications.

The group's president Cheryl Hayward-Chew, apologised to those affected, including Meyer Freight, Shipping, Meyer Technologies and Meyer-Franklin Travel.

She explained that a power line was severed at a neighbouring construction project.
