Juggling work and exercise is David's biggest challenge

David

David Paynter, our weekly Live Healthy Bermuda 100 Day Challenge participant, has found juggling work and exercise tricky in his fourth week.

After taking on a second part-time job, an hour on the treadmill every night is not easy. So he has cut down on the number of workouts each week.

Keeping busy and continuing to eat breakfast, however, has meant he has already lost 19 pounds and continues to shrink.

He said: "My body is definitely burning weight faster. I am hungrier now and I require the food now so I have my breakfast and that late morning snack is banging on the door.

"I used to have longer breaks between meals, but now I'm eating more regularly."

The father of one has also found it amusing when strangers check to see how much weight he has lost and friends worry they have nothing to feed him at parties.

He says he tries to calm them by explaining he's not on a diet and whatever food they have, he will just eat less of it.

David said: "You know you go out in social circles and they ask: 'can you not eat this, can you not eat that'. But it's all about a different lifestyle.

"It's almost like it's not a 100 Day thing for me. So I just eat less. You need to do it and not go crazy with counting calories."
