Number 7 buses which normally travel along South Shore Road will be diverted on Saturday due to ongoing construction.

The Department of Public Transportation (DPT) has advised West End commuters that the construction near The Reefs hotel will cause a diversion of buses from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. that day.

"The construction at The Reefs will involve a crane that will span the width of South Shore Road causing a road closure from Church Road to Lighthouse Road," a DPT press release said.

"As a result the Number 7 buses travelling West will be diverted through Lighthouse Hill Road onto St. Anne's Road, left on Church Road and joining South Shore Road at the Lighthouse Road junction.

"Buses travelling East will travel on the same route starting from Church Road and joining South Shore Road at the Lighthouse Road junction.

"A temporary bus stop will be placed at the junction of St. Anne's Road and Tribe Road #3 for passengers needing to be serviced in that area."
