Bermuda's women's Olympic qualifying hopes took a battering at the Antigua Recreation Ground in Antigua yesterday.

Having travelled to the Caribbean with high hopes, Bermuda came crashing to earth with a thud as the Reggea Girlz ran rampant. Kenisha Reid netted a brace and Jodi Ann McGregor added another to give Jamaica a commanding 3-0 lead at the half.

A Tashana Wilson second-half strike then put paid to any hopes Bermuda might have had of staging a revival.

Bermuda will now hope for better fortunes when they tak e on the Dominican Republic tomorrow.
