Bermuda's Ashley Estwanik clocked a personal best time of 36 minutes and 59 seconds on the way to a top three finish in the women's division in today's International Race Week 10K.
Estwanik turned in a solid performance to finish third behind Kenyans Florence Jepkosgei (34.16) and Janet Cherobon (36.33) respectively.
"I ran my best time for this race which I’m very happy about," the Bermudian said after completing the 6.2 mile race at the National Sports Centre (NSC). "So overall I'm pleased with my performance today."
Kenyan Jepkosgei led from start to finish to take line honors in the women's category - but finished well outside the race record (31.41) set in 1982 by Norway's Greta Waitz on the 6.2 mile course.
