Dark side of the moon

Natural wonder: At 5.54 a.m. yesterday, the full moon began to fall behind the Earth's shadow (the Umbra) as a full lunar eclipse took hold and slowly engulfed the moon over the next hour. Unfortunately clouds obscured the view as the moon began to set on the western horizon before the totality of the eclipse - turning the moon a dark red - could be observed.
