A 32-year-old Pembroke man was this morning in the intensive care a fight across the street from The Bistro at The Beach.

In a statement, a Police spokesman said officers received a report of a disturbance outside the bar on Front Street. It appears the victim was assaulted by a group of men and received serious injuries.

He was taken to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment and was this morning in the intensive care unit.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Police Station on 295-0011.
