Bermudians paid tribute today to former Governor Sir Desmond Langley who has died from cancer.Sir Desmond was a man as comfortable in the bars of Court Street as the elite clubs of Front Street.He was Governor of Bermuda from 1988 to 1992 and succumbed to cancer this morning morning. He was in his late 70s.

He was Governor of Bermuda from 1988 to 1992 and succumbed to cancer this morning morning. He was in his late 70s.
His former aide-de-camp Larry Mussenden was full of praise for Sir Desmond.
He said: “He was an inspirational person. I served with him as his ADC for about 18-20 months. I had an absolutely magnificant time with both him and Lady Langley."
