The body of a man has this afternoon been discovered in a yard at Field View Lane in Devonshire.

It is feared, but not yet confirmed, that the deceased is Calvin “Baldy” Hansey Sr., 75.

The former May 24 Marathon Derby champion has been missing since August 27.

Police are working to identify the body, which was found on a residential lane off Parsons Road.

Said a Police spokesperson: "A few minutes after 12.30 p.m. on Wednesday, Police responded to a report of an incident that took place on Field View Lane in Pembroke. It appears that a member of the community came upon a man's lifeless body in an area outside of a house on that said road.

"Police are going through the process of identifying the body and as such no further information will be given until the next of kin have been notified."
