A man’s body has been found in the waters by the cruise ship terminal at Dockyard.

Police Rescue Service is now in the process of securing tarpaulins, to shield the body from the views of tourists.

Although Police were unable to confirm this afternoon, The Royal Gazette understands the man is a Bermuda resident.

His body is expected to be taken away for examination.

Said a Bermuda Police Service spokesperson: “A man’s lifeless body has been found in the waters right off the Broad Arrow in the Keep, just before you get to the new arm of Dockyard.

“The man was sighted in the water by a member of the public just before 2 p.m. The Police were called and at present we are waiting for the body to be taken away.”
