Police have not ruled out foul play after a body, said to be a man, was found at an abandoned house in Hamilton following a blaze.

Neighbours said the blaze began at around 4 a.m. this morning in the Washington Street building, frequented by prostitutes and drug addicts.

Police have not release details of the death or even confirmed the gender of the deceased.

But a spokesman said: “Foul play has not yet been ruled out.”
