A serving police officer has been arrested amid allegations of internal corruption.

The Bermuda Police Service today announced the officer has been suspended from duty as a result.

The following release was issued this afternoon: “The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that a serving police officer has been arrested as a result of an investigation into allegations of internal corruption.

“The officer has been suspended from duty while the investigation is being conducted, but no further comment can be made while the investigation remains active and open.”
