Goater's City on a roll . . .

Manchester City extended their unbeaten run in the Premiership to three games at the weekend when they came back from 2-0 down to snatch a draw with Charlton.

Island striker Shaun Goater played for the full 90 minutes at The Valley but neither he nor strike partner Nicolas Anelka managed to get on the scoresheet. Instead it was down to Cameroon international Marc-Vivien Foe to grab the limelight, bagging both goals, the second just three minutes before the end.

The result increases City's points tally to 24 but they remain 12th, tied with Charlton and Blackburn Rovers.

Meanwhile, Kyle Lightbourne and Macclesfield Town were sent crashing to a home defeat by Rushden and Diamonds in the Third Division.

Onandi Lowe scored the clincher for Rushden in the 82nd minute.
