Rebello banned

Boulevard Blazers' coach John Rebello has been hit with a six-match ban after he lost his temper during a Premier Division clash last month.

Rebello had to be held back after confronting match officials at the end of Boulevard's 2-1 loss to Devonshire Colts on October 12.

The coach had been sent off during the second half by referee George O'Brien.

He was later charged with behaviour designed to bring the game into disrepute by Bermuda Football Association after the Disciplinary Committee heard he had used foul language towards O'Brien.

As well as the lengthy ban, Rebello was also put on probation for two years.

Rebello was not the only Boulevard player in the dock at the recent hearings - Suleyman Bashir was hit with the same charge following an incident at the AS&K pre-season youth tournament for Under-15s on October 13.

After the Disciplinary Committee heard of his violent conduct during the tournament they handed him a three-match ban and put him on probation until December 31, 2004.
