Bad day for Sims

Michael Sims failed to card the dream second round he hoped for in the South American Tour qualifier yesterday.
The Bermudian shot a miserable six-over 78 at the Bonaventure Country Club in Florida, USA. It was a disappointing follow-up to the even-par 72 which he started with in the first round.
"He's not happy but he still feels he can do well in this tournament," said the 23-year-old's father, Bruce Sims last night.
Sims, a pro rookie golfer, is vying for a spot on the South American Tour. There was no word on his position in the overall standings after two rounds. Round three takes place today.
