Katura Horton-Perinchief mixed it with the best female divers on the planet yesterday when she made her World Championship debut in Barcelona.

The Islander is one of three Bermudians competing at the event - swimmers Ronald Cowen and Kiera Aitken compete in the pool at the weekend.

Horton-Perinchief took part in the one metre springboard competition yesterday coming 33rd out of the 34 divers who took part in the preliminary round.

She scored 153.15, just behind Marija Ivezic of Serbia-Montenegro (153.57) and ahead of Choi Hye-jin of South Korea (124.20).
