Boss praises Lightbourne

Kyle Lightbourne was on target again for Macclesfield Town at the weekend and his performance in a losing cause brought praise from manager Dave Moss.

The Bermudian striker scored the second of the Silkmen's goals as they sought to come back from 3-0 down to Scunthorpe United in the English Third Division on Saturday.

His looping header four minutes from time gave his side hope of salvaging a draw but in the end they were beaten by the clock.

It was the big striker's third goal in four games and represents his richest run of form for some considerable time.

Moss said Lightbourne had given his all for the club.

"He was very good," he said. "He's had five good games in a row for us now. He was energetic, lively and he wanted to win. I can't ask for any more than that."
