Teams to battle it out for Camel Cup places

Cricket's Premier League draws to a close this weekend with a double slate of matches today and tomorrow.

Camel Cup places remain on the line and with St. David's the lone side to clinch a definite spot thus far, all eyes will be on the likes of Western Stars, Bailey's Bay, St. George's and Southampton as they battle for the remaining three slots.

Rangers are the longest shot as they trail the other three by five points and don't play any of their rivals this weekend.

But they remain in position to steal a place if they can win both their games - against Cleveland and Police - and get help in the form of St. George's defeating Stars today.

If Rangers and Stars end up level on points the advantage goes to the former based on the fact that they beat Stars in their league contest, and head to head result is the first tiebreaker.

Bay would seem to have the easiest task as they entertain Willow Cuts today and travel to face PHC tomorrow.

Stars entertain Somerset Bridge tomorrow at St. John's Field, while St. George's host Warwick.

League champions St. David's close out with matches against Flatts and Social Club, meaning that they are highly likely to finish the season unbeaten.
