Youth cricket finals today
The Bermuda Security Group Under 13 Youth League Cricket Finals take place today at the National Stadium.
The All-Star match, which begins at 3 p.m., features the Eastern All-Stars against the Western All-Stars, teams that will be made up from all ten participants in the youth league, St George?s, St David?s, Flatts, Warwick, Somerset, Cleveland, YMSC, Bailey?s Bay, Rangers and Western Stars.
Following the game, awards will be presented to the player of the year from each club, man of the match for each side and the overall winner?s trophy.
Bermuda Security Group president Herman Tucker said: ?I?m proud as a Bermudian and businessman to be supporting our future cricket Stars, with this three-year sponsorship deal for the Under 13 cricketers.
?I?m looking forward to watching the players mature and move forward as cricketers ? setting the standard for younger cricketers following in their footsteps and setting high standards of sportsmanship and discipline.?
Bermuda Cricket Board executive member Allen Richardson added: ?The investment in Bermuda?s young people has already paid handsome dividends this year.
?The Under 13s are a particularly deserving group of young men and they bring boundless energy to the game.
?I also wish to take this opportunity to encourage parents and other willing parties to lend some assistance to this valuable and laudable program.?
