Dear Sir,

As the curtains were drawn symbolising closure of the 100th edition of Cup Match we were left breathless from enduring memories.

From the carnival atmosphere, tasty delicacies to the dazzling display of fireworks at the close of play on day two.

But the fireworks that captivated us most were from the bats of Glenn Blakeney and Janeiro Tucker - well done Skip!

These were truly magnificent innings - text book stuff. They batted sensibly playing every ball on its merit. Anything short was promptly dispatched to the boundary with minimum effort.

Again, congratulations Skip on your record-breaking exploits and thanks to the pair of you for providing us with vintage batsmanship, thus making this, the 100th Classic, truly a memorable one.

P.S - It was also emotional to witness Mr Edwards and Mr James personally congratulate Janeiro. This was truly the epitome of

sportsmanship.
