Youth team still perfect

Bermuda's under-15 cricket team maintained their unbeaten record at the Americas Regional Tournament in Orlando, Florida, when they overpowered the Combined Affiliates team by 10 wickets.

That victory improved their record to four wins from four matches. Their final match was due to be played against Argentina yesterday.

With convincing wins against hosts USA, Cayman Islands and Canada already under their belts, Bermuda, led by skipper Rodney Trott, again proved far too good for the Combined XI who they skittled out for just 67.

Allan Douglas junior and Sean DeGraff both captured three wickets while Trott grabbed two.

Trott again opened the batting, this time with Malachi Jones, and together the pair steered Bermuda to victory without the loss of a wicket.

Trott finished unbeaten on 35 while Jones was not out on 21.

Bermuda Cricket Board of Control president Reggie Pearman said after the match: "I am proud of the squad, the coaching staff and all those associated in preparing these young men for this tournament.

"The experience they gain will cement a firm cricket foundation for the future years."
