Kyle Lightbourne can leave Macclesfield on a free transfer, club boss Dave Moss has declared.

The Bermudian international, rumoured to be among the highest paid players at the English Third Division Club, was put on the transfer list prior to the end of the season.

Lightbourne, who joined from Stoke City, has a year to go on his contract at Moss Rose but Moss is looking to rebuild for the next campaign.

The 32-year-old is among three players on the transfer list, 21-year-old Nigerian George Abbey and Lee Martin being the others.

"We wouldn't be looking for a fee for Lee or Kyle," Moss said. "But George is a little bit different. He's still young so we might look for a small fee for him."
