Mosen axed by Silverbacks
Former BAA Wanderers soccer player Brett Mosen has been relieved as head coach of the US A League soccer team, the Atlanta Silverbacks.
Mosen, who was instrumental in Bermuda's John Barry Nusum signing for the Georgia-based team, told The Royal Gazette only last month that he was looking forward to the new season.
However, it seems differences in the camp have led to his departure.
A Silverbacks spokesman said: "It became clear that Brett had different thoughts on how to build the team and that difference made it difficult for the relationship to continue.
"Brett worked very hard to bring success to the organisation and the Silverbacks thank him for his efforts and wish him well in the future."
The Silverbacks have hired Jacenir Silva as interim head coach for the 2003 season.
Jacenir Silva, a Brazilian, is currently working as an assistant coach at Brazilian First Division club Guarani FC and will join the Silverbacks on March 17.
