Motorsport in Bermuda will soon have a home of its own.

That was the commitment from Sports Minister Randy Horton as he delivered the Budget breakdown for his ministry in the House of Assembly.

Stating that he has invited representatives of all motorsport organisations to view "an area at Southside" tomorrow, the Minister said he hoped they could all work together to develop this site to accommodate the Island's various motorsport activities.

"We will shortly sign a memorandum of understanding, outlining the conditions under which this property is to be handled and managed by the department," he said, in a brief explanation of his ministry's plans for motorsport.

Island enthusiasts have long pushed for a purpose-built venue, but although they have been told plans were being drawn up nothing concrete has so far materialised.
